What is punk rock love and is it only for punk rockers?

What is Punk Rock love?  Is it only shared by punk rocker boys and girls?

Love itself is very hard to explain on its own much less Punk Rock love! It would seem that from hearing the phrase that it would refer to an extreme relationship. Something like Sid and Nancy or a Romeo and Juliette sort of love. Some might even reference bonnie and Clyde. It may also mean quite a few other things. I laughed as a friend told me she thought that Lucy and Desi had a punk rock love, so as you can see, it might just be unexplainable. I believe it is best left to be described by the person experiencing it.

That being said, it is hard to explain in a nutshell just what a Punk Rock type of love is. Is it severe? fleeting? long lasting? til death do you part? I tend to think that anyone that would describe themselves as having a Punk Rock love would consider it passionate and intense.

Punk rock love has been exploited in many films and quite a few books. The authors tend to make a statement about true passion and the human condition. How Punk rock fits into the equation is merely left up to the reader or viewer. Many songs have been written by punk rock bands about love. Most are a sad or angry look back on a love that has been lost due to some sort of turmoil or hardship.

Could someone that is not a Punk rocker experience Punk rock love?

Once again it all depends on how you would describe a punk rock love. Is it based on music? Youth? bitterness towards life shared? boredom? lust? These are the questions that you have to ask yourself and see what comes to mind. I think that most would be able to agree on the key factors but would disagree on certain details that they feel would make love be considered punk rock.

Is there a difference between Rock and Roll love and Punk love? or Gothic love? Hip Hop love? etc.

I think that all types of love share certain qualities and have unique elements as well. So this question is impossible to answer because every person is different, that includes Punks, Goths and Rockers too. One thing is for sure all love has high points and low points. Love can save a person just as easy as damage them, at least the lack of love can or love lost.

Love is a topic that can be described forever and still be somehow unexplained and remain mysterious. For some it helps to talk to friends or loved ones about the subject and yet others feel compelled to keep their feelings to themselves and not share the intimate thoughts with others because they find it uncomfortable or inappropriate.

So the only definite thing that can be said about Punk Rock love is that like any love it is truly a mysterious subject that many find interesting and are very opinionated about.
