I think it's possible that rock and roll might not have evolved in the way it did without Sam Phillips and Sun Records. He certainly played an important role. I don't know anything else clever to say except that the first things I think of when I hear Sun Records is Johnny Cash, Elvis, and Carl Perkins. Nice post - I enjoyed the articles.
